[August 8th, 2007]

We've got a full serving of gossip this week: First, we hear Bakery Bar is seeking space for a second location near East 28th Avenue. Across the pond, Leonardo's , an Italian eatery, will open later this fall at Northwest 10th Avenue and Lovejoy Street in the former home of failed diners Graze and Nina's Kitchen . Let's hope three is the magic number. Across the street in the gleaming white Metropolitan Tower , another Pearl District eatery is in the works, said to be the brainchild of a celebrity chef from California —though that's all that's known. And for those who prefer instant gratification to mere speculation, Bailey's Taproom , a new bar specializing in small-scale West Coast brews and artisan Northwest cheese plates opened last week at 213 SW Broadway—right across the street from Saucebox.
